SEN Learning Support Assistant – Abbots Langley
Are you passionate about making a difference to children and young people with additional needs?
A welcoming specialist SEND school in Abbots Langley is looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join its team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence and achieve their potential.
You don't necessarily need extensive SEND experience – we are keen to hear from candidates with experience in schools, childcare, care or support work who have the right attitude and a genuine passion for helping children.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
* A caring, patient and supportive approach.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
* A willingness to learn and develop your SEND experience.
* Experience supporting children with additional needs or challenging behaviour is advantageous.
The Role
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
* Help pupils access learning and develop their independence.
* Support communication, social skills, confidence and emotional development.
* Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to meet individual pupil needs.
* Help create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Provide personal care support where required.
What We Offer
* Long-term, full-time position.
* Excellent rates of pay – dependent on experience.
* Supportive leadership and experienced SEN staff.
* Excellent opportunity to gain valuable SEND experience.
* Ongoing support from your dedicated Educo Recruitment consultant.
* A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day.
If you're caring, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today
