The Supply Register is currently inviting expressions of interest from qualified and experienced Maths Lecturers to support NCG South London Colleges, including Southwark College, Lewisham College, and the HE Centre at Harbour Exchange in Canary Wharf, on a flexible bank staff basis.

This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Maths Lecturer seeking flexible teaching work within a supportive Further and Higher Education environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills Maths, helping learners develop confidence, mathematical skills, and achieve their academic goals. As a bank Maths Lecturer, you will provide high-quality teaching on an as-needed basis, covering both planned and short-term curriculum requirements across college campuses.

The Role

As a Maths Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inclusive Maths lessons to students across a range of levels and programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-quality GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths lessons
Supporting learners to achieve their academic and personal goals
Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging sessions
Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Supporting learners with varying abilities and educational needs

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent)
Relevant degree or strong subject knowledge in Maths or a related field
Experience teaching Maths within Further Education, Higher Education, or schools
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Flexible, reliable, and professional approach
Desirable:

Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths
Experience working within the Further Education sector
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
