Are you a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity in Sheffield?

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teacher to join a supportive school based in Sheffield, S10. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is committed to making a genuine difference to the educational and personal development of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents and other professionals to ensure every pupil receives the support and opportunities they need to succeed.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, which may include Autism, ADHD, communication and interaction difficulties, learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver creative, engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons.
Adapt teaching and learning to meet individual pupil needs.
Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and assess pupil progress and contribute to individual education plans.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and professionals.
Promote pupils' independence, confidence and personal development.
Follow safeguarding, behaviour and school policies at all times.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who is:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experienced in, or passionate about, working with pupils with SEND.
Patient, nurturing and resilient.
Confident in adapting lessons and using different teaching approaches.
Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
A committed team player with excellent communication skills.
Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for every child.
