The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes when their regular teacher is unavailable, ensuring students remain focused, engaged and well behaved.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising students across a range of subjects and year groups.
Delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring students remain on task.
Maintaining a positive and purposeful classroom environment.
Managing behaviour in line with the school's policies.
Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
Reporting any issues or concerns to teaching staff and school leaders.
Building positive relationships with students and staff.
About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
Confident and comfortable working with secondary-age students.
Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills.
Reliable, organised and adaptable.
Able to manage classroom behaviour calmly and consistently.
Passionate about supporting young people's education.
Ideally experienced in a school, youth, tutoring or education environment - although graduates and candidates with relevant transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
