We are presenting a leading UK manufacturer specialising in Halstead area for a temporary Production Operative role.

The Role

As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in preparing fabricated assemblies for final assembly and painting. This hands-on position involves marking out, drilling, fettling, polishing, cleaning, and ensuring components meet the company's high standards of quality and workmanship.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or engineering experience who enjoys practical work and being part of a skilled, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare fabricated assemblies for final assembly and painting.
Use powered hand tools for grinding, polishing, deburring, fettling, drilling, and finishing operations.
Operate steam cleaners and jet washers to clean large, fabricated products within an indoor production environment.
Read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and job sheets accurately.
Complete all work to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales.Preferred Experience

Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering, or fabrication environment.
Experience using hand and power tools, including grinders, polishers, and drills.
The ability to follow technical drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
Good attention to detail, particularly when preparing and finishing components.
A strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good physical fitness, with the capability to undertake manual handling duties and remain on your feet for extended periods.Why Work for Adecco?
