Quality Inspector - [Braintree, Essex] - Day Shift - Full Time - £15.75 p/h

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a full time opportunity offering the chance to play a key role within the production process, ensuring products meet the required quality standards and identifying issues before they progress further through production.This role would suit someone with previous manufacturing experience who has excellent attention to detail, is confident reading technical drawings.

About the role:

Working across different stages of the production line, you will be responsible for carrying out hands-on inspections of materials, components and finished products. You will use drawings, specifications and measuring equipment to ensure products meet the required standards. As a Quality Inspector, you will also be one of the first points of contact when defects are identified, working directly with production teams to resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

Inspecting materials, components and finished products against technical drawings and specifications
Carrying out in-process quality checks throughout production
Recording measurements, defects and corrective actions accurately
Identifying and quarantining non-conforming products
Supporting root-cause investigations and corrective actions
Working closely with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve issuesThe Ideal Candidate

Previous experience within a manufacturing
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and inconsistencies
Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Comfortable using measuring equipment including tape measures, gauges and templates
Good understanding of quality control and non-conformance procedures
Able to manage multiple inspections and priorities within a fast-paced environment
Good IT literacy and comfortable completing digital inspection records Desirable (for top salary bracket):

Previous Quality Inspector experience
Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Experience with quality control and non-conformance processes
Previous experience using inspection and measuring equipment What's On Offer
