Your new company

A well-established business based in Redditch is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its busy finance team on an immediate-start basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong construction sector experience who is confident using the COINS ERP system and has a thorough understanding of subcontractor accounts and CIS processes.

Your new role

You will take ownership of a busy Purchase Ledger function within a fast-paced construction environment.Key responsibilities will include:

Processing high volumes of supplier and subcontractor invoices using COINS.
Matching, batching and coding invoices accurately.
Managing subcontractor accounts and related documentation.
Assisting with CIS administration and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
Reconciling supplier and subcontractor statements.
Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.
Creating and maintaining supplier and subcontractor master data.
Liaising with site teams, project managers and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
Supporting month-end activities and ledger reconciliations.
Ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines.This is a fully office-based position in Redditch and requires someone who can start immediately and quickly become a valuable member of the team.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position.
Essential experience using COINS ERP software.
Essential experience dealing with subcontractors within the construction sector.
Knowledge of CIS processes and construction industry payment procedures.
Strong supplier statement reconciliation experience.
Experience processing high volumes of invoices accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business.
Confident working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Available to start immediately or at very short notice.
