About the Role

A lovely SEN School in Harrogate are looking for a passionate, nurturing and experienced EYFS SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will have a genuine commitment to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.

You will work closely with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, adapting learning and activities to meet individual needs and supporting each child to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive EYFS learning experiences.
Provide targeted support for children with additional and special educational needs.
Develop positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Create a nurturing, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Monitor and assess children's progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
Work closely with SENCOs, support staff and external professionals where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to individual support plans.
Promote children's communication, independence, confidence and wellbeing.
Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience working within EYFS and/or with children with SEN.
Is patient, caring, enthusiastic and child-centred.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Can adapt teaching to meet a wide range of individual needs.
Is committed to inclusion and helping every child achieve their potential.
Has a good understanding of the EYFS framework and SEN provision.
