Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established primary school in North Manchester to recruit an experienced Attendance Officer / School Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school environment and play a key role in ensuring high levels of attendance and effective day-to-day administration.

As the school's Attendance Officer / Administrator, you will be responsible for managing attendance procedures, maintaining accurate pupil records and supporting the wider administrative function of the school office.
Key responsibilities will include:

Monitoring and recording pupil attendance and punctuality.
Identifying attendance concerns and following up with parents/carers.
Producing attendance reports and supporting attendance improvement initiatives.
Managing school communications, including telephone and email enquiries.
Maintaining pupil records and updating school databases.
Supporting admissions, safeguarding and general office administration.
Liaising with staff, parents, external agencies and senior leaders.
Providing reception cover and acting as a first point of contact where required.What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience working within a school administration or attendance role.
Knowledge of attendance procedures within an education setting.
Experience using school management systems such as Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom would be advantageous.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
