Job Title: Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney (Fully accessible by Local Public Transport)
Year Group: KS3
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday term time only
Pay: £100 - £120 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: 14/09/2026

About Our Schools

Tradewind Recruitment are working with an outstanding Primary School in Greenwich who are seeking an experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to cover within a Year 6 Class with an emphasis on SATs support.

These are great opportunities for experienced or aspiring Teaching Assistants who wish to to make a difference in the development and learning of pupils.

Skills and Qualities

Experience supporting children within Key Stage 3 and SEN

TEAM TEACH or Positive Handling Training would come as an advantage
Knowledge of positive and adaptive support.

Good Understanding of SEN

Patience and strong communication skills.

Committed

Desirable: Sound Knowledge of core subjects for 1:1 Learning when required

Requirements

Right to work in the UK.

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).

Two professional references from the last two years.

Up to date CV with full employment history.

Relevant work experience with SEN children.
