Joshua Robert Recruitment is looking for a qualified Fire Door Maintenance Operative to support a social housing association across their Gloucestershire stock. This is a long-term temporary role with an immediate start, helping the client keep on top of essential fire safety compliance work.
The role:
Carrying out inspections, repairs, and maintenance of fire doors across occupied social housing properties
Identifying and remedying non-compliant doors in line with current fire safety regulations
Completing accurate paperwork and reports for each property visited
Working directly with tenants in occupied homes, so a professional and courteous manner is essential
Liaising with the wider maintenance team and reporting any wider issues found on site What you'll need:
A recognised fire door training course/certification (e.g. FIRAS or equivalent)
Proven experience carrying out fire door repairs and maintenance, ideally within social housing
A full UK driving licence and own transport to travel between sites
A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong attention to detail and a compliance-focused approach What's on offer
£27.50 per hour + 45p per mile.
