Transparency Education is seeking a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a supportive primary school in Merton. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who will bring energy, creativity and high expectations to an EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 class.

This Early Career Teacher (ECT) position is particularly suited to someone who values mentoring, constructive feedback and the opportunity to become an established member of a school community.
Your responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.

• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

• Assess pupils’ learning and use this information to inform planning.

• Adapt teaching for pupils with different needs and starting points.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

• Contribute to year-group planning, school events and professional development.

• Meet the expectations of the Teachers’ Standards.

What we are looking for

• The appointed Early Career Teacher (ECT) will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status achieved by the start date.

• Eligibility to undertake or continue statutory ECT induction.

• Strong teaching-practice feedback and secure curriculum knowledge.

• Effective classroom organisation and behaviour-management skills.

• A reflective approach and willingness to act on professional feedback.

• A genuine commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil progress.
