On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer - C++ / Qt for a 12-month contract.
As a Software Engineer, you will join a team developing solutions for the next generation of Air Defence Systems, delivering innovative products with a strong focus on safety, performance and dependability.
Role: Software Engineer - C++ / Qt
Pay: £65 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week, 12 month contract
Location: Bristol
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: SC to start, UK Eyes only project
Responsibilities
Develop a new software Console product using modern software architecture.
Take ownership of the development while working within a wider engineering team.
Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to testing and automated proving.
Produce clear technical documentation and ensure software integrates effectively with the wider system.
Apply software engineering best practice and identify opportunities to improve development processes.
Essential Requirements/Skills/Experience
Strong software engineering background with experience in C++ and Qt.
Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a wider team.
Experience with multi-threaded applications and ideally DDS.
Knowledge of Ada would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Def Stan 00-55, DO-178C, IEC 61508 or MISRA C++ would be beneficial.
Strong understanding of software architecture, verification and maintainability.
