HLTA (SEND Provision) - Secondary School in the New Forest
Supply Desk are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the specialist SEND provision within a thriving secondary school in the New Forest from September 2026.

This is a long-term opportunity supporting students with additional needs within a dedicated provision. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and make meaningful progress both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver targeted interventions and small-group learning sessions within the SEND provision
Support students with a range of additional learning needs across KS3 and KS4
Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual student needs
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and external professionals
Provide classroom support to ensure students can fully access the curriculum
Assist with monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records
Promote positive behaviour, engagement and emotional wellbeing
Build strong relationships with students, staff and families
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold an HLTA qualification, CACHE Level 3 qualification, or a relevant Education degree
Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
Be confident working with students who require additional academic, social or emotional support
Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Be flexible, resilient and committed to helping students achieve their potential
Have experience working within a secondary school environment
Minimum Requirements
Right to work in the UK
Two years' worth of professional references
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Relevant HLTA qualification, CACHE Level 3 qualification, or Education-related degree
Previous experience supporting students with additional needs
