Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics and Warehouse Assistant to join their dynamic team in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are keen to contribute to effective stock management and logistics operations.

Hours: 37 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 3.30pm
Friday 7.00am - 12.00pm
Overtime available!Role Overview:
The Logistics and Warehouse Assistant will play a pivotal role in organising and maintaining stock control. The successful candidate will ensure that stock is traceable, batched, and segregated, while also managing relationships with vendors and ensuring timely deliveries. This role is integral to maintaining data integrity and enhancing efficiency within the logistics function.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Control & Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate stock records and perform perpetual stock counts.
Manage stock levels to prevent overstocking and stock-outs.Vendor & Transport Coordination:
Work closely with vendors to cultivate strong relationships.
Collaborate with transport contractors and in-house teams to ensure timely deliveries.Data Management:
Ensure all stock and site packs are picked accurately.
Maintain data integrity on inventory management systems.Audit Participation:
Assist in auditing Site Services locations and addressing any discrepancies.
Proactively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency.Safety Management:
Ensure safe operation of the warehouse and provide proper induction for contractors and visitors.Knowledge & Experience Required:
Understanding of switchgear assets and the significance of quality spare parts.
Well-organised with excellent teamwork skills.
Familiarity with procurement and stock management systems, ideally including Coupa.
Experience in performance improvement within operational and maintenance disciplines is desirable.
Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment is a plus but not essential.
Forklift truck licence and Category C1/C HGV licence are preferred but not mandatory.Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 or relevant experience.
