About the Role
YourStaffGroup is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support a learner in Bedford (LU4) who requires personalised educational support outside of a mainstream school setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tutor or teacher who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
You will provide tailored, one-to-one tuition based on the learner’s individual needs, abilities and learning goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition
* Support the learner with their academic development and confidence
* Plan and adapt sessions according to the learner’s needs
* Build a positive and supportive relationship with the learner
* Monitor progress and provide feedback where required
* Liaise professionally with YourStaffGroup and relevant professionals
* Maintain accurate session records and timesheets
We Are Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
* Experience delivering 1:1 tuition, teaching or mentoring
* Experience working with children or young people
* A strong understanding of supporting learners with additional needs/SEND is desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, encouraging and flexible approach
* The ability to engage learners who may have struggled within mainstream education
* A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
QTS/PGCE is desirable but not essential, depending on experience and the learner's requirements.
