We are currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Redbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing and is looking to make a genuine difference in the classroom.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both academically and pastorally. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting pupils with their learning across the curriculum.
* Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
* Supporting children who may require additional assistance with their learning or behaviour.
* Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation.
* Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to engage in learning.
* Supporting pupils' social and emotional development.
* Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about working with children.
* Patient, caring and approachable.
* Confident supporting pupils both individually and within a group.
* A strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
* Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic.
* Experienced working with children in a school, nursery or similar educational setting.
* Ideally holds relevant qualifications or previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, although strong candidates with transferable experience will also be considered.
