TimePlan Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Northampton on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and wants to make a genuine difference every day.
About the Role
You will be working alongside experienced teachers and support staff to provide personalised support to pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, speech and language needs, sensory needs and physical disabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with their learning and development
Providing one-to-one and small-group support
Encouraging communication, confidence and independence
Supporting pupils to engage with classroom activities
Helping pupils develop essential life and social skills
Using a range of communication strategies and resources
Supporting personal care where required
Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
Working closely with teachers and the wider support team
Celebrating and encouraging every pupil's individual progress

Willing to learn and develop their SEND knowledgePrevious experience working within a SEND setting is desirable but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who have the right attitude, patience and commitment to supporting young people.
