Setting Out Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join an established RC Frame subcontractor on a major project in South London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the setting out of reinforced concrete frame works, working closely with the Site Manager and wider engineering team to ensure works are delivered accurately and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

* Setting out RC frame works including slabs, columns, walls and cores

* Setting out formwork and reinforcement

* Carrying out site surveys and as-built surveys

* Checking dimensions, levels and alignment

* Reading and interpreting construction drawings

* Liaising with the Site Manager and wider site team

* Checking reinforcement and formwork prior to concrete pours

* Identifying and resolving setting-out issues on site

* Ensuring works are completed accurately and within programme

* Maintaining accurate site records and reporting any discrepancies

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on RC Frame projects

* Strong setting-out experience within reinforced concrete

* Confident using Total Station and surveying equipment

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* Good understanding of RC Frame construction

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Relevant engineering qualification or solid demonstrable site experience

The Role:

* £270–£300 per day, depending on experience

* South London location

* Mid-October 2026 start
