Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Newcastle.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the scheme, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with the project requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Setting out and surveying highways and civil engineering works.

*

Providing technical support to the Site Management team.

*

Checking levels, coordinates and dimensions.

*

Producing and maintaining accurate site records.

*

Completing quality assurance and inspection documentation.

*

Working closely with subcontractors and site teams.

*

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.

*

Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.

*

Supporting the Site Manager and wider project team as required.

Requirements

*

Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways or major civil engineering projects.

*

Strong setting-out experience.

*

Competent with surveying equipment and relevant engineering software.

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

*

CSCS / relevant site certification.

*

Relevant engineering qualification preferred.

*

Strong communication and organisational skills.

*

Full right to work in the UK.
