Distinction Education is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil within a Year 3 class at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Redditch.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, SEND TA, SEN Teaching Assistant or 1:1 Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time primary school position.
🧩 The SEND Teaching Assistant Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
✅ Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil
✅ Support learning and classroom engagement
✅ Adapt activities to meet individual needs
✅ Encourage independence and confidence
✅ Support emotional and social development
✅ Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCO
✅ Help create a calm, positive learning environment
👩🏫 Who Are We Looking For?
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEND Teaching Assistant is desirable.
Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEND, communication difficulties or additional learning needs would be particularly valuable.
We also welcome candidates with relevant experience supporting children through childcare, nurseries, youth work, sports coaching, care or other child-focused organisations.
