Sue Ross Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Chesterfield who are seeking a Customer Support Advisor to join their busy Customer Support Helpdesk team on a temporary basis. This role is available for an immediate start and will run until Christmas 2026 to provide additional support during a particularly busy period.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering outstanding support to customers.
As a Customer Support Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries via telephone, email and webchat. You will take ownership of customer issues through to resolution, ensuring a consistently high level of service and customer satisfaction.
Key duties will include:
* Responding to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner
* Managing customer issues through to successful resolution
* Providing updates and information via inbound and outbound calls
* Handling customer complaints sensitively and escalating where necessary
* Maintaining accurate customer records and updating internal systems
* Monitoring cases and ensuring follow-up actions are completed within agreed timescales
* Liaising with various internal departments to investigate and resolve customer queries
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and trends
* Ensuring compliance with company procedures and service level agreements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Previous experience within a customer service, customer support or contact centre environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A customer-focused approach with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service
* Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
* Experience managing customer enquiries across multiple communication channels
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* The ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
* Strong attention to detail and administrative skills
* A proactive, adaptable and resilient approach to work
Desirable Experience
* Experience using CRM or ticket management systems
* Experience working within a service-based or technical support environment
* Understanding of service level agreements (SLAs)
* Familiarity with field service management or similar business systems
