Berry Recruitment are looking for a Service Driver for a reputable company in Bury St Edmund's.
POSITION: Service Driver
FUNCTION: To ensure timeous professional Delivery and Collection of Portable Toilets and Welfare Units to/from Customers. Complete Daily/Weekly cleaning and service tasks as specified.
LOCATION: Bury St Edmund's
REPORTING TO: General Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
* To plan, organise, monitor own workload working with both HSC and GM on a day to day basis in order to achieve the daily work plan and ensure that all service and quality standards are achieved on a consistent basis
* Able to organise the effective running of the daily service schedules
* Multi-drop servicing of single plastic toilets including emptying, cleaning, refilling with chemicals, and ensuring toilet rolls are replenished
* Ensure quality of products being delivered to our customers meets agreed standards and advise any damages/refurbishment requirements to GM
* Understand and adhere to all appropriate legislation, codes of practice and any internal control requirements
* Take full responsibility for all Health & Safety issues within the yard and all other outside work areas, reporting any deviations to your GM
* Test all electrical fittings prior to them leaving the depot in line with legal requirements. This process must be strictly adhered too
* Agree on the most efficient means of product handling and daily service routes in conjunction with GM
* Ensure that all waste collected is disposed of in line with company procedures
* All Toilets/Welfare Services Units should be steam cleaned, repaired, branded with the required asset numbers prior to them leaving the depot
* Deliver/collect toilets/welfare units to/from customers ensuring accurate completion of paperwork (obtaining authorised signatures/noting damages/correct fleet numbers)
* Basic vehicle maintenance/ensuring roadworthiness and safety of vehicle (carry out daily vehicle checks in accordance with Group procedures)
* Check toilets/welfare units against paperwork received from hire desk prior to delivery
* Safe loading/unloading of all equipment onto/from vehicles (strapping/chaining/roping)
* Tag up damaged items on return to depot and locate in correct area within depot yard/workshop
* Where applicable ensure digital Tacho's are used and downloaded in line with current legislation
* Ensure digital Tacho cards are carried at all times when required
* Working at event sites / locations (generally Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays) as required, with overnight stay overs required in tents, caravans, B&B or hotels as specified
* Abide by customer Health & Safety rules when on site
* Keep workshop and vehicle organised, clean and tidy and assist with general workshop duties as and when required
* Driving fork lift trucks as required
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the Foreman or Depot Manager

You are required to ensure you are fit for work at all times and take reasonable care of your own safety, protect others affected by your work, cooperate with management to comply with all safety standards and instructions to meet health and safety obligations, including: reporting hazards, reporting safety shortcomings and the immediate reporting of safety incidents and near misses. You are required to follow all safety training provided and correctly use all work equipment and safety equipment provided. You are required to stop and report unsafe practices immediately and to cooperate with any investigation that is undertaken by the client.

* Vehicle kept roadworthy, Honda engine and pump system should be cleaned as required and vehicle should be free from dents

* Managers feed-back (on-going managers appraisal)
* FTA analysis and compliance reports
* Follow PSE/NSQ regulations as specified
