A high-achieving primary school in South West London is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on an ongoing basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop their career within education. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support pupils across Key Stage 2, helping children to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

KS2 Teaching Assistant
The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will provide classroom and individual support to pupils, working closely with the class teacher and wider school team. You will be supporting children across the curriculum, including core subjects such as English and Maths, helping pupils to develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting pupils across KS2 in the classroom and during targeted interventions.
Working closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning and development.
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to children who require additional help.
Supporting pupils with mild learning difficulties and other barriers to learning.
Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and engagement in lessons.
Assisting with the delivery of targeted interventions in English and Maths.
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.
Creating a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
Building positive relationships with pupils and supporting their wellbeing.The school is looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and helping them succeed. Previous experience working within a primary school or with KS2 pupils would be advantageous. The school will also consider candidates with relevant experience working with children in other educational or support settings.
