The Role
As a Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a variety of school settings. Responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils with their learning and development
Working alongside teachers to support classroom activities
Providing one-to-one or small-group support where required
Helping pupils access the curriculum
Supporting pupils' Welsh language development
Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
Assisting with classroom routines and activities
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
We're Looking For
Fluent Welsh speaker - essential
Previous experience working within a school environment is desirable
Alternatively, strong experience working with children in another capacity
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning
Reliable and adaptable
Someone who is happy working on a flexible, ad-hoc basis
