Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Norwich, with an immediate focus on earthworks and groundworks.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the site team with the technical delivery of earthworks and associated civil engineering activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Setting out and surveying for earthworks and highways activities

*

Checking levels, line and grade

*

Producing and maintaining accurate site records

*

QA and quality control

*

Completing ITPs and inspection records

*

Working closely with Site Agents, Section Engineers and subcontractors

*

Monitoring earthworks operations and material placement

*

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications

*

Assisting with site measurements and quantities

*

Identifying and resolving technical issues on site

*

Ensuring health, safety and environmental requirements are maintained

Requirements

*

Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways or major civil engineering projects

*

Strong earthworks experience

*

Competent with setting out and surveying equipment

*

Good understanding of engineering drawings and specifications

*

Experience with QA / ITPs

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a site team

*

CSCS

*

Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience

*

Previous experience on National Highways or major highways schemes would be advantageous

Package

£300 – £400 per shift, depending on experience
