Job Advert - Yard Operative (Vehicle Compound) - Stallingborough / Immingham
GI Group Grimsby are recruiting a Yard Operative for an ongoing, full-time role based at a busy vehicle compound in the Stallingborough / Immingham area. This is a great opportunity for someone confident working outdoors and happy with a hands-on yard role.
The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day movement and checking of vehicles within the compound.
Key duties include:
Moving/relocating vehicles safely around the vehicle compound
Checking vehicles for damage and reporting issues at first instance
Using a handheld terminal scanner (full training provided)
Supporting yard operations and general compound organisation
Progressing into load lane pulling as you become experienced in the role
Walking is involved in the role
Pay & Overtime
£12.91 per hour
Saturday (after 40 hours): £19.37 per hour (time and a half)
Sunday (after 40 hours): £25.82 per hour
Hours
Monday to Friday - rotational week to week - (Apply online only) AND (Apply online only)
Optional Saturdays depending on client requirements
Ongoing, full-time position
What we're looking for
Comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment
Strong attention to detail when checking vehicles for damage
Reliable, safety-conscious and able to follow site processes
Happy to learn new systems (scanner training provided)
