Job Title: Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools, Newham
Location: Newham, East London (Stratford, East Ham, Canning Town, Forest Gate, Plaistow)
Salary: £95 - £130 per day
Job Type: Temporary / Long-term / Day-to-day (Full-time and flexible options)
About the Role
Teaching Consultancy is looking for reliable, confident Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Newham. You'll supervise classes when the usual teacher is absent. You'll deliver work the teacher has set, manage behaviour and keep lessons running smoothly.
This is a great role for graduates thinking about a teaching career, experienced Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants ready to step up.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supervising whole classes and delivering pre-planned lessons
* Managing behaviour in line with school policies
* Collecting completed work and giving feedback to the class teacher
* Making sure students stay safe, on task and engaged
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting
* Confident classroom and behaviour management
* Strong communication skills and a professional approach
* Reliability and flexibility, including availability for early morning calls
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
* The right to work in the UK
