SEN Teaching Assistant - Clacton-on-Sea - ASAP Start
Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Clacton-on-Sea, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and looking to develop their career within a nurturing school environment that offers strong mentorship and ongoing professional development.
The school is looking for a committed practitioner with effective behaviour management skills and a genuine desire to inspire and support pupils with additional needs across the primary age range.
📌 CONTRACT DETAILS
Location - Clacton-on-Sea
Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of work - Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis
Start date - ASAP
Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
Full time/part-time - Full time
Rate of pay - £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm
📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK primary school setting (placements accepted)
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs is desirable
Relevant TA, SEN, or childcare qualifications desirable
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional child-related references
