The Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will work alongside other Early Years professionals to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive through play and exploration. You’ll help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities, encourage children’s communication and independence, and support their personal, social and emotional development.
Role Responsibilities
Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities
Create and maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating nursery environment
Encourage positive interactions and relationships between children
Observe children and contribute to monitoring their progress
Support individual routines and personal care needs as required
Work collaboratively with other Nursery Practitioners and Early Years professionals
Adhere to high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and child welfare
Skills and Experience
A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
Hands-on experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is essential
Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with young children
Confidence supporting children’s learning through play and planned activities
Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Ability to provide suitable references covering your most recent 24 months
