About this job

We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of a construction site in Luton.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Site Manager with the daily management of the site.

* Coordinate subcontractors and site operatives.

* Monitor progress and ensure work is completed to programme.

* Assist with site health & safety and maintain a safe working environment.

* Carry out site inspections and quality checks.

* Help manage deliveries, materials and site logistics.

* Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.

* Maintain site records and relevant paperwork.

* Support the Site Manager with general site duties as required.

Requirements

* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).

* CSCS card – ideally relevant to a management/supervisory position.

* Previous experience working on construction sites.

* Good understanding of health & safety requirements.

* Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and site teams.

* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
