About this contract

Teaching Assistant - Full-Time SEN Roles
Ashford & Surrounding Areas
£93 per day | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for full-time roles within SEN schools across Ashford and the surrounding areas, with opportunities supporting both primary and secondary-aged students.

Our client schools support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including sensory processing difficulties, medical needs, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges.

Previous experience in education, care or SEN is welcomed, but we are also keen to hear from individuals with the right attitude, patience and enthusiasm to make a difference.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with EHCPs and additional needs.

Build positive, trusting relationships with students and encourage their engagement and confidence.

Support students with behaviour regulation and emotional development.

Assist with highly personalised learning and development programmes.

Work closely with teachers and wider school teams to provide consistent support.

Help create a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.

Provide personal care where required.

What we're looking for:

A compassionate, patient and adaptable individual who enjoys working with young people.

Previous experience in education, care, SEN or supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable.

Confidence supporting students with a range of complex needs.

Someone who is comfortable providing personal care.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A positive personality and the ability to be a great role model in the classroom.

Must be available Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.

Must be happy travelling to Ashford, Canterbury and surrounding areas.

Full right to work in the UK.

An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS. A new DBS costs £62, which will be reimbursed after 20 days of work with us.

If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a genuine difference to children and young people, we'd love to hear from you!

Please apply for the role or email with your CV.
