TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND school in Bromsgrove, supporting children and young people aged 3-19 with a range of additional needs. The school has a friendly and supportive team of staff who are committed to creating a positive environment where every pupil can develop and achieve their potential.
The school is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant for both day-to-day and long-term opportunities, supporting pupils with mixed needs ranging from MLD / Moderate Learning Difficulties through to more complex needs. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work alongside teaching and support staff to provide individualised support, encourage engagement and independence, and help pupils access learning in a safe and positive environment.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with MLD and/or more complex additional needs
• A patient and resilient approach to supporting pupils
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
• A positive and proactive attitude
