We're currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist organisation delivering technology and critical infrastructure solutions across large-scale data centre projects throughout Europe. The business is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an experienced BMS Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of Building Management Systems within hyperscale and mission-critical environments.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically focused team working on some of the most advanced data centre developments in the market.

The Role

As a BMS Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed controls and automation designs, developing BMS network architectures, and supporting the delivery of complex projects from design through commissioning. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams to ensure the successful integration of critical building systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Produce detailed BMS design packages including points schedules, wiring schematics, control panel layouts and Descriptions of Operation.

* Design and review BMS network architectures using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and LonWorks.

* Collaborate with MEP, IT and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.

* Review design submissions, RFIs and technical queries from contractors and suppliers.

* Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).

* Ensure all designs meet client requirements, industry standards and energy efficiency objectives.

* Work with industry-leading BMS platforms including Tridium Niagara, Schneider, Siemens and Trend.

Requirements

* Proven experience within BMS Engineering, Controls Engineering or Building Automation.

* Strong understanding of HVAC controls and mechanical plant including chillers, AHUs, CRAHs and cooling systems.

* Experience designing control strategies, network topologies and BMS documentation.

* Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, MQTT and other industry-standard protocols.

* Experience with Tridium Niagara, Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure or Trend systems.

* Data centre or other mission-critical environment experience would be highly advantageous.
