- Hybrid working could be an option once fully trained
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm
Pay Banding: Band 3 – £14.05 per hour

Job Description
The Single Point of Access (SPOA) provides the first point of contact for referrals into Mental Health Services. As a Bank Administrator within the SPOA Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient processing of referrals, ensuring accurate data entry, effective communication with clinical teams, and maintaining high standards of administrative support.
Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for managing electronic referrals, handling telephone enquiries, updating patient records, and supporting the wider team to ensure referrals are processed within agreed timescales. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
This role is ideal for an administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment and is committed to supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care through efficient administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Process and manage electronic referrals received into the SPOA service.
· Input and maintain accurate patient information on Trust systems.
· Monitor referral inboxes and ensure referrals are allocated appropriately and within required timescales.
· Respond to telephone and email enquiries from service users, carers, GP practices and health professionals.
· Liaise with clinicians and operational teams regarding referral queries and urgent requests.
· Support the tracking and management of referral pathways and administrative processes.
· Ensure all records are maintained accurately and in accordance with Trust policies and information governance requirements.
· Escalate urgent concerns, risks or referral issues to the appropriate clinical or managerial lead.
· Assist with general administrative duties including scanning, filing, correspondence and document management.
· Contribute to maintaining service performance standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Work flexibly to support service demands and business continuity requirements.
