We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join our client’s team in Beccles on a temp to perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical fitter or technician with experience working with industrial or commercial electrical systems, particularly those with knowledge of electrical wiring, pneumatic systems, control panels and automation machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Install electrical components and wiring in accordance with electrical schematic diagrams.

Install pneumatic components, pipework and equipment in accordance with pneumatic diagrams.

Prepare and assemble cable and pipeways, brackets and support systems.

Connect electrical circuits and networks, ensuring components are correctly installed and compatible.

Carry out pre-commissioning checks and testing of completed systems.

Undertake routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

Diagnose faults, hazards and malfunctions and repair or replace damaged components.

Carry out electrical and pneumatic installation work at customer sites across the UK and, occasionally, overseas.

Work safely and responsibly at all times, following relevant procedures, regulations and company standards.

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and safety-conscious Electrical Fitter / Electrical Assembly Technician who is confident working with a variety of electrical equipment and systems.

You will ideally have:

Proven experience working as an electrical fitter, electrical technician or similar.

Experience with industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.

The ability to read and work from electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams and technical drawings.

Competence using electrical and hand tools, including wire strippers, voltmeters and similar equipment.

A thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures, regulations and guidelines.

Strong fault-finding, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Good physical fitness and mobility, with the ability to work in a range of industrial environments.

Relevant vocational training, an electrical qualification or completion of an electrical apprenticeship.

A responsible and safety-focused approach to your work.

Flexibility to undertake occasional installation work at customer premises in the UK and overseas.
