An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in either Walthamstow or Leyton. This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them make progress in a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environment.
Working closely with the class teacher, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help pupils access learning and encourage positive behaviour and independence. Experience supporting children in a primary school setting is desirable, particularly experience working with SEND pupils, although applications from enthusiastic candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
The role:
* Primary LSA position based in Walthamstow or Leyton
* £97–£110 per day, depending on experience
* Supporting pupils across the primary age range
* One-to-one and small-group learning support
* Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
* Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
The ideal candidate will be:
Reliable, patient and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed. You will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils. Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
