We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / TIG & MIG Welder to join a busy engineering environment. This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and welding, who is confident working from drawings and producing high-quality work.
Sheet Metal Worker Roles and Responsibilities:
Carry out TIG and MIG welding on a range of sheet metal components
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts to specification
Use guillotines and brake presses to cut and form sheet metal
Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
Measure and check components to ensure accuracy
Carry out general sheet metalwork and fabrication
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Sheet Metal Worker Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication
Strong TIG and MIG welding experience
Experience using guillotines and brake presses
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Reliable, hardworking and keen to get stuck in
Sheet Metal Working Hours:
Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
37.5 hours a week
