SEN Teaching Assistant - ASD in Dartford
£93 - £105 per day. Salary depends on qualifications and experience.
Start date: 19 October 2026 | full-time, long-term, temporary
Hours: Term time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Help autistic pupils approach the school day with a clearer sense of what comes next. You will support learning, communication and transitions, using agreed strategies to reduce uncertainty and encourage pupils to do more for themselves. Transparency Education is recruiting for this position in Dartford.
Key responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support under teacher guidance
Use visual prompts, clear language and agreed communication strategies
Support transitions, sensory regulation and participation in activities
Share observations with teachers and the SENCO to inform next steps
Role requirements
Experience supporting autistic children in an educational setting
A calm, patient approach and understanding of individual sensory needs
Confidence following support plans and working closely with colleagues
A commitment to safeguarding and an enhanced DBS check appropriate to the role, or willingness to complete one.
