School Nurse (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week) - Greenwich

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and First Aid-trained School Nurse to join a thriving secondary school in Greenwich. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to work in a supportive and welcoming school environment, with excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

The Role

As School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of students, providing clinical care and support within a busy school setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care and clinical triage for students and staff.
Support students with medical conditions through healthcare planning and liaison with families and external professionals.
Respond appropriately to medical incidents and emergencies in line with school procedures.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
Work closely with safeguarding, SEND and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing.
Promote positive health and wellbeing through education, awareness and preventative health initiatives.Requirements

Registered Nurse (Adult or Child qualification).
Current NMC registration.
First Aid trained.
Previous nursing experience and strong clinical knowledge are essential.
Experience working with children, young people, or within a school, community or paediatric setting is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, empathetic approach and commitment to student wellbeing.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Degree-level qualification preferred.What's on Offer
