Primary Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2026
⏰ Full-Time | Term-Time Only - Monday - Friday - 8.30am -3.30pm
We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school, that are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026 - You will be working as a classroom based support staff member, to assit the class teacher with daily classes. You will support the class as a whole, and also support those in the class that need extra support and guidance.
What We're Looking For:
✔️ Confidence in managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner
✔️ The ability to support children who may arrive at school upset, anxious, or dysregulated
✔️ A calm, patient, and nurturing approach when helping children regulate their emotions
✔️ The ability to think quickly on your feet and adapt to changing situations throughout the school day
✔️ Strong relationship-building skills to help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
✔️ Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs is desirable
