Industrial Spray Painter

Location: South Kirkby, West Yorkshire
Contract: Ongoing Contract
Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour, Umbrella (or £14.50ph PAYE)
Overtime: £31.50 per hour for all hours worked over 40 per week and all weekend hours.

Working hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Spray Painter to join our team based in South Kirkby. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality industrial equipment, applying specialist protective coatings to the highest industry standards in a modern environment.

The Role

As an Industrial Spray Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and applying protective coatings to fabricated steelwork and equipment, ensuring all work meets C3 to C5 corrosion protection specifications. You will work with a variety of industrial spray systems and coating products while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking and other pre-paint processes.
Apply industrial coatings to C3 to C5 corrosion protection standards.
Operate airless, air-assisted airless and conventional pressure pot spray equipment.
Mix and apply two-pack paint systems, including epoxy primers and specialist topcoats.
Inspect completed work to ensure coatings meet specification and quality requirements.
Carry out touch-up and finishing work where required.
Maintain spray equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organised.
Follow all company health, safety and environmental procedures.About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Proven experience as an Industrial Spray Painter within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
Experience using airless, air-assisted airless and conventional pressure pot spray systems.
Strong knowledge of two-pack coating systems, including epoxy primers.
Experience applying coatings to C3 to C5 corrosion protection standards.
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and coating specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
A strong understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment.Working Hours

This position is based on a 40-hour working week.
