SEN Teaching Assistant - Full Time - September Start

Looking to take your education career in a meaningful and rewarding direction?
We're seeking a motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in South London, supporting pupils aged 5-19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school provides a nurturing, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:00pm
Location: South London
Start Date: September 2026

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from:

Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
Individuals with proven experience supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs
People confident in behaviour management and delivering tailored support strategies

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and during wider school activities
Assist teachers in delivering personalised lessons and interventions
Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Encourage confidence, independence, and positive development in every learner
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to support holistic progress

Requirements

Previous SEN experience (within a school or similar setting)
A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)
Two employment references covering the last 24 months
