The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Goods In Supervisor to manage the loading bay and site entrance operations on a busy construction project in Liverpool. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination of deliveries, visitors, contractors, and site logistics while maintaining high standards of communication, organisation, and site safety.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation of the site loading bay and goods-in area.
Coordinate and monitor all deliveries arriving on site.
Maintain and update delivery schedules via the goods lift notice board.
Act as the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.
Liaise closely with site management regarding deliveries, visitors, skips, and site logistics.
Ensure safe movement of vehicles and deliveries within designated site areas.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and site access.
Promote and maintain a safe, professional, and organised working environment.
Communicate effectively with clients, members of the public, and the wider project team.

Essential Requirements

Valid CSCS Card.
Minimum 5 years' construction industry experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage site logistics effectively.
Professional approach when dealing with clients, contractors, and members of the public.

Desirable Qualifications

Banksman / Vehicle Marshal Training.
SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
Previous experience working in a logistics, goods-in, gateperson, or site coordination role.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be highly organised, approachable, and confident managing a busy site entrance. You will be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders while ensuring site logistics run efficiently and safely at all times.
