Contract: Long-Term, Temp-to-PermLong Term Futures is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to support whole-class learning in a welcoming primary school in Kings Norton. This is a long-term opportunity from September, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Working alongside an experienced EYFS team, you will support pupils as they begin their school journey, helping them develop confidence, independence and the foundations for future learning through engaging and inclusive classroom activities.

What the School is Looking For

Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
Experience: At least one year's experience working in a Primary School, Nursery or Preschool
Skills: Experience delivering phonics and supporting children with SEND, including Autism, Speech & Language needs, Makaton or PECS
Knowledge: Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child-centred learning

About the Role

Support teaching and learning across the Reception classroom
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
Support children's early reading, phonics, communication and number development
Help pupils develop independence, social skills and positive learning behaviours
Work closely with the class teacher, EYFS Lead and SENDCO to support children's progress
Prepare engaging learning resources and contribute to a stimulating classroom environment
