About the role

A welcoming nursery in St Albans is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join its Early Years team. You will support children aged 0–5 with their learning, development and wellbeing, helping to create a safe, positive and stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities:

Support children's learning through play and age-appropriate activities.
Follow the EYFS framework and support children's development.
Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Carry out observations and contribute to children's learning journeys.
Encourage children's communication, confidence and independence.
Maintain a safe, clean and nurturing nursery environment.
Work as part of a supportive Early Years team.
The ideal candidate:

Has a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.
Has previous nursery or Early Years experience.
Is caring, patient and enthusiastic.
Has a good understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS.
Is reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
