Location; Barton under Needwood

We are working with a small, established manufacturer producing natural fibre products for the landscaping and erosion control sector. The depot operates a close-knit, hands-on environment with a strong focus on production quality and reliable turnaround for storage and distribution.

This is a great opportunity for a Warehouse / Manufacturing Operative looking for straightforward, physical work as part of a small, supportive team, with an immediate start available on a temporary contract.

You'll be manufacturing and sorting products made from natural coir fibre, including coir mats (approximately 12kg per unit) and Silt Wattles, making them up to size ready for storage and palletisation. Working alongside two existing team members, you'll also provide general depot support, with full training and PPE provided from day one.

This role would suit someone who is physically capable, safety and quality-conscious, and happy with repetitive, labour-intensive work over a sustained period. Whether your background is in warehouse, production or general labouring work, this is a great short-term opportunity to join a friendly team — no forklift licence required.

Responsibilities of a Warehouse / Manufacturing Operative:

Manufacturing and sorting coir-based products and Silt Wattles

Making up products to size ready for storage and palletisation

Lifting and shifting materials as part of daily duties

Standing for long periods carrying out labour-intensive, repetitive work

Providing general depot support alongside a small team

Working safely and maintaining product quality throughout

Skills & Qualifications of a Warehouse / Manufacturing Operative:

Physically fit and comfortable with manual, repetitive work

Safety-conscious with a strong attention to quality

Able to work well independently and as part of a small team

Calm, hardworking approach, happy to commit to a few months' work

No forklift licence required

£14.00 per hour

3-month temporary contract

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
