Supply Desk is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Autism Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Whiteley.

You'll support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them build confidence, communication skills and independence in a nurturing learning environment.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and wants a genuinely rewarding career in education.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support.
Encourage communication and social development.
Support pupils with sensory and emotional regulation.
Work alongside teachers and therapists.
Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
Safeguard and support pupil wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements

Experience with SEND or Autism is desirable.
Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
Excellent communication skills.
Passion for helping young people succeed.
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
