About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable Media Studies Teacher to join the college from September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering A Level Media Studies, inspiring students through engaging lessons that develop their understanding of media theory, analysis, representation, industry practices, and contemporary media issues.

You will join a successful department with a strong track record of achievement and a commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and academic excellence. The role offers the opportunity to teach motivated students within a dedicated sixth form environment focused on progression and achievement.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within one of the region's most respected post-16 providers.

Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from candidates who:

Hold QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience teaching Media Studies at A Level
Possess strong subject knowledge of contemporary media and media theory
Can deliver engaging and challenging lessons to post-16 learners
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Have a passion for Media Studies and supporting student achievement
Thrive within a collaborative and high-performing academic environment
