Teaching Assistant - Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Haringey, North London
Salary: £1,900 - £2,300 per month

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will support pupils across the classroom, provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, and help children develop both academically and personally.

You will be joining a committed team of teachers and support staff who work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Support teaching and learning across the classroom

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils

Assist with targeted interventions and learning activities

Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development

Encourage positive behaviour and engagement

Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

Requirements

Essential:

GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, positive and enthusiastic approach

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

Desirable:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant

Experience supporting pupils with SEN

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Degree in Education, Psychology or a related subject
